Today is quilt class day and I’m a little excited. I’ve done most of my homework (I have to cut out the pieces I’ll be sewing with) and I’ve got the car loaded with my supplies. I’m ready to go. Shame there’s just the pesky matter of having to go to work first.
Tonight’s class is all about hand piecing and hand sewing. The block that we’ll be doing is called a Monkey Wrench. I’m sure it has other names, but that’s what the instructors calling it so that’s what I’m sticking with. (The pattern on the barn above is an example of the block.)
I’m really quite excited to get started on this quilt. Just ironing all my fabric this morning was thrilling. I can’t wait to see how the fabrics look once they’re put together.
Because I think that no day is complete without something wonderful to gaze upon here’s a little selection of some quilt patterns that I’m crushing on at the moment. This should hold you over until I get some photos of my masterpiece.
