With No Spend January behind us we decided to hit the stores and just check out what we’d been missing while in monetary exile.

OH MY GOD VALENTINE’S DAY IS THIS MONTH!

I’d completely forgotten. Seriously, when you don’t have an office full of women to make jealous by flaunting how awesome your husband is because he sends you amazing flowers on Valentine’s Day it kind of loses it’s meaning.

(I’m so romantic, right!?!)

Now that I have only a 7 month old to impress HUBBY thought he was off the hook.  Well, that’s where he’s wrong! It’s more important then ever now to remind me how much he loves and adores me.  I’ve had a baby, I’m in a vulnerable mental state.  I live in my pajamas – I need an injection of sexy in my world!

(Am I selling it to you yet?)

(No? Well lucky you’re not my husband then because he got the message… which is lucky for him – happy wife = happy life after-all!)

So while we were out and about I thought it would be a good opportunity to drop into my favourite place on earth, Target, and drop some subtle hints about what he could use to tell me how awesome I am in his heart.

I thought I would start with the traditional Valentine’s Day gifts… stuffed toys, hearts and chocolates…

First up, the stuffed toys.

I’m a sucker for a giraffe at the best of times, but this little beauty sings and moves his head up and down. Hours of amusement in a cute package (just like me!).

Target Australia Valentine's Day Musical Giraffe

Then there’s hearts…

Target Australia Valentine's Day Heart Coffee Mugs

If he got me one of these I could remember how great our love is as I sip contentedly on the hot Milo he makes me before bed.

And the trusty go-to-gift for Valentine’s Day, chocolate…

Target Australia Valentine's Day Milk Tray Cadbury Chocoalte

(The seductive look isn’t a standard offer at Target, I just get that for free when shopping and taking helpful “reminder photos” with Hubby.)

(PS. Reminder photos are a great tool for subtly prompting your partner with timely reminders before big events like birthdays, Christmas or Valentine’s Day – not only do they ensure that he’ll remember to get you something, he’ll be able to get you what you want. It’s practically a public service!)

However if you’d like to think outside the box this Valentine’s Day Target also do other wonderful items that could be great as gifts for the ones you love.

Target Australia Valentine's Day Red Sequin Cushions

…look at how happy they make me – he’d be crazy not to get them…

There’s these great sequin cushions that come in the colour of love; red.  Or if you want something that screams va-va-voom…

Target Australia Valentine's Day Sleepwear…blue steel…

(Back off Ladies, he’s all mine!)

Target have a great range of really sexy (yet affordable and comfy) lingerie and sleepwear. (Don’t forget they also have a fabulous bra fitting service to help you get the right fit every time!)

But if none of this looks like something you’d like to get your special someone I know a sure fire gift that will have their heart a fluttering…

Target Australia Valentine's Day Gift Card

A Target Gift Card!

(Did you know you can order Target Gift Card‘s online? No, well you can which means that if you forget you can get one sent to the one you love and pretend like you were all over Valentine’s Day all along!)

Thanks to Target our first post-baby Valentine’s Day is going to rock, and if for some reason HUBBY fails to embrace the awesome that is a Target Valentine’s Day I’m going to email the picture of him in ladies lingerie to his whole office… nothing says love quite like blackmail!

This post is brought to you by Target.

The cushion range is great – we have a few in the house. And so well priced – so it’s an easy facelift to your lounge room (or bedroom – wink wink) if you’re wanting a change. (I liked the gold ones they had too!)

DEAD at Grantini in that outfit. I love it. His sexy look is right out of Bold and the Beautiful!

    Does the giraffe sing something?

Those cushions are SO great – but will a wee child who sticks everything in his mouth? Maybe not… I don’t want to be cleaning up sparkly poo!

He is a wonderful husband, no?

It does – it sings “…you’re love is lifting me higher… higher than I’ve been lifted before…” all while it’s head moves up and down like an upside down earth rammer.

Yeah, a bit of a choking hazard – but now he’s not sleeping in your room you could have them on your bed for a little extra bada-bing-bada-boom…
