Link Love: Sweet Projects You’ll Love

A highlight reel of what's going on in my life and a collection of useful links and information for the creatives amongst us - Angie Wilson at www.gnomeangel.com

HUBBY has been home for a week now and it’s like he was never away. It’s such a strange sensation to have him back. Our lives just went straight back to how they were before he left and it made it seem like those 4 weeks of solo parenting never happened. I slept so soundly those first few nights he was home; after 4 weeks of not being able to fall asleep till late and then waking at the slightest noise my body needed some serious sleep recovery.

Now that he’s home I’m in serious book writing and making mode. I only have a few weeks to go before everything is due and I’m having a little bit of a panic about how I’m going to get it all done on time. I don’t know why I didn’t make more of an effort to sew over Christmas, but oh well can’t go back in time so I’m just going to have to buckle down now. Lucky for me I’ve got some really fabulous people in my life who are helping to keep me on track and make me accountable. (Look for them in the book dedication section!)

I have been doing some sewing in the past week or two. I sent off my first blocks to our do. Good Stitches group last week. They were so much fun to make, which was a surprise for me as I don’t normally enjoy doing “wonky”. I used Lizzy House’s Butterfly fabric in Purple and Blue for both of them and they just came up so well. Tempted to do a wonky start quilt of my own! If you’d like to make your own Wonky Star blocks you can find the free tutorial by clicking here.

I’ve also been doing some work on my other blog; Craft Your Blog. (It’s a blogging resource for creatives that want to use their blogs and social media to generate opportunities and income.) This is my pet project and I’ve neglected it while other things have taken my focus, but I’m determined to make 2016 the year I build a good foundation over there. Slow and steady. (Am I the only one that likes to load up on things when you’re avoiding a deadline???)

Speaking of deadline, I’d better get back to sewing. I hope you have a fabulous day!
