But this is our garage:

I know, I know you’d expect better from a neat(ish) freak but I can explain. It’s our dumping ground. It used to be clean – so clean I used it as my craft room. But then we had a baby and it’s just gradually gotten out of control.
Well now that we’re putting the house up for sale and we’re moving I have the enviable (go on admit it you wish it was you!), ok so that should be unenviable, job of cleaning it out and packing what we want to keep. Yay me!
I know that most of it is going to be trashed, but knowing that and finding the time to do that are two completely different things.

But I’ve made a start – we ordered a skip bin and it was delivered yesterday. I’m going to be throwing out, donating and selling.
It’s just amazing how much stuff you can accumulate and the crazy crap that you hold on to out of sentimentality. I’m hoping that we’ll be able to just clean it all out and move to our new home (where ever that may be) with a lot less junk and all of the stuff that we actually use and need.
Wish me luck!

Just think of the money you could make out of the things that you don’t want …. I think I feel a garage sale coming on for you. Babies have a way of distracting you from doing anything else. I think it’s their job to keep you focused on them. Good luck with the clearing out.
All the best….I hope your refind some treasures in there. x
no judgement whatsoever; it actually looks all too familiar.
good luck honey xx
Good luck with your clearing out! Horrid job but imagine how pleased you will feel, not to mention SMUG whenit’s done.
No judgment here. Our garage, before we moved to HK, looked quite similar. Except the ceiling had collapsed, but that is another story.
We got a skip too, filled it to the brim, and left lots of things on the nature strip, all of these things were taken within hours. We gave lots away too, and a few (too many?) things are in storage.
Good luck, you can do it: be ruthless! “Ruthless” was my mantra.
